Project Runway Winner: Irina Shabayeva

Although I didn't follow season 6 of Project Runway from week to week, I did catch the finale. Irina Shabayeva won the challenge. Her color palette was black and stunning; however it was hard to see the different textures of Irina's collection, nonetheless it was innovative with a mix of punk and sass.

Project Runway Finale: Leanne

Even though I wanted Korto to win, Leanne definitely held her own and created wonderful designs. Her finale, winning collection reminded me of a beautiful poolside. Congrats to Leanne on winning Project Runway Season 5!!

I am truly bummed that my girl, Korto didn't win because I felt her designs were always exquisite. I absolutely loved her African inspired collection and the punch of color that was used. She is the winner in my book!!

From Project Runway to Fashion Week

Christian Siriano, winner of Project Runway Season 4, debuted his Spring 2009 collection at New York Fashion Week; and can I just say it was FIERCE? His collection was innovative and very feminine. Christian was a bit arrogant on the show, when it came to his ability to make beautiful clothing but he actually is a great fashion designer. His story gives us all hope that you can follow your dreams to fruition.
