L.A. Fashion Week: Eduardo Lucero Spring 2010

For his Spring 2010 presentation, Eduardo Lucero looked to his latin roots and gave a dark romantic collection. With chiffons, sheer laces with opaque black crepes, intricate embellishments, and gorgeous detailing. Beautiful and feminine, while at the same time mysterious and dramatic. Some looks were elegantly paired with dramatic hats, feather hair accessories. This collection had the 30's and 40's glamour written all over it.

In attendance for this cocktail hour of fashion delights was his close friend Louis Verdad, whose collection was also showcased at L.A. FAshion Week. Cynthia Ruiz the fashion ambassador to the mayors office and you guessed it Mayor Villaraigosa. Of course, there were fashion lovers, enthusiasts, writers, and supporters all there to witness the design genius on display.

L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2009: Leila Hafzi

This collection had an eclectic feel to it. Many of the dresses had animal motifs accented across them, such as lovely peacocks, goldfish, and tigers. Kinda like animal kingdom meets 7th Ave. Happy I witnessed this show.

L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2009: Samora

Sad to say that L.A. Fashion Week has come to an end but I truly enjoyed the experience of attending. Before yesterday, I had never heard of designer Samora; the theme of her collection was inspired by the City of Lights "Paris"; so romantic and flirty.

L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2009: Kevan Hall

Kevan Hall debuted his Spring 2009 collection at Smashbox Studios in Culver City yesterday. I had the wonderful experience of attending the show. His collection was filled with beautiful dresses and gowns in pretty palettes of black & white, yellow, pink, green apple, silver, and black & navy. It was such a rush to be at the show and witness Kevan Hall's designs grace the runway. The show was breathtaking!!!!

L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2009

L.A. Fashion Week officially started today, Oct.12 through Oct. 16, 2008 at Smashbox Studios in Culver City. I am delighted to say that I had the opportunity to volunteer at designer, Kevan Hall's show. Definitely a wonderful experience for a fashionista like myself. There were plenty of celebrities in the house, such as Gabrielle Beauvais-Nilon, Tia Mowry, and Dana Delaney. Kevan Hall's designs had me jaw-dropping all evening; each look was so feminine. I will post his show as soon as it becomes available because you know we weren't allowed to take pictures unless you were with the media or a buyer.
