London Fashion Week: Burberry S/S 2011

Christopher Bailey of Burberry has done it again! The SS 2011 collection was full of bright hues and funky trenchcoats and motorcycle jackets. His mix of feminine and masculine garments add instant edge to any wardrobe. Burberry is sure to be duplicated this season!!!

Today my girlfriend and I went to Mood Designer Fabric store in Los Angeles, on the hunt for printed cotton. I have to say I was in fabric heaven because the immense textures and vibrant colors had me in awe. Mood is the fabulous fabric palace that Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn have the contestants of Project Runway pick up yards and yards of exquisite material for their next challenge in New York City.

Fashion's Night Out 2010-Los Angeles

Fashion's Night Out is fast approaching. This year it will debut in other major cities alongside New York City; such as Beverly Hills, Washington D.C. and Dallas. I attended last year at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, where the festivites included fashion shows and of course, shopping, shopping and more shopping. Who's attending this year???

Beverly Hills is definitely planning to host Fashion Night’s Out in true LA style, with celebrity, parties, drinks, food trucks, and more in the mix. You can ride a ferris wheel, go watch Samuel L. Jackson present his favorite red carpet looks at Giorgio Armani, and get a free manicure at Chanel. Seeking fashionably exercise? Les Khakis de Chanel and Lacoste will host a Wii tennis tournament. Many brands are hosting parties, such as Valentino, Emporio Armani, and Roberto Cavalli.

"Mahogany" premiered on TVOne tonight. It was such a good movie, with a mix of high fashion and love. Diana Ross played aspiring fashion designer, Tracy Chambers who falls in love with politician, Brian Walker, played by Billy Dee Williams. Diana Ross was absolutely stunning in the film and her wardrobe was insane with 70's flare.

By far, my favorite line in the movie was when Billy Dee says, " Success is NOTHING, if you don't have someone you love to share it with!"

Rihanna graces cover of July 2010 looking edgy in Balmain. She gushes on her favorite designers.

"On designers she admires: “It’s clear there are definitely fewer black women in the high-fashion industry. One of the things I respected most about Gucci was that they did a print campaign with me.
