History of the "tee"

I love "tees" because they are so versatile. Let's take a look at its history. This garment is said to have been around since Ancient Egypt. The t-shirt emerged in the U.S. Navy as undergarments worn in lieu of the wool uniform jacket. It became a hit in Hollywood in the 1950's, with many leading actors wearing the t-shirt on the silver screen. In the 60's & 70's, the "tee" became hip with tie dye designs and screenprinting. Airbrush, applique, and embroidery were other methods of decoration. By the 80's, heat transfer became popular. Well into the 90's and present day, designers use "tees" to showcase their logo/brand and that is exactly what we plan to do @ Divine Life Collection. Please be on the lookout for our complete line of "tees" in the near future.
