Oscars Best Dressed: Taraji P. Henson
Hands down, Tariji P. Henson was the best dressed of the night. She looked absolutely divine in a buttercream, layered Roberto Cavalli gown; her bib necklace by Fred Leighton had me breathless and for a pop of color she accessorized with a red, Mary Norton clutch. Although Taraji didn't win the golden statue, she said her win was in being nominated and sharing this wonderful night with her mother and grandmother. There were other beautiful gowns, but none as beautiful as Taraji's.

To show support, the fashion industry and the federal government came together to launch the Red Dress Collection at New York Fashion Week in 2003 and has been at Bryant Park ever since. Celebrities model the red dresses designed by top fashion designers such as Tracy Reese, Badgley Mischka and Donna Karan.

Meaning of the Ankh
The ankh is an Ancient Egyptian symbol that means LIFE; this powerful symbol was first created by Africans found on the walls of hieroglyphics in Kemet now known as Egypt.
The ankh represents the divine power of life that permeates the universe.
The ankh is the fusion between male and female energies symbolizing completion and fertility. The loop of the ankh represents femininity or the womb while the elongated part of the ankh represents masculinity or the phallus. When these two sacred units combine, new LIFE is created.

Grammy Awards 2009
Natalie Cole looks exquisite in her Grecian style gown minus the gold chain. She is proof that looking fabulous is ageless.
Daddy's Girls, Vanessa and Angela Simmons look fresh and age appropriate.
I must say that Katy Perry looks absolutely stunning in this bubblegum pink, Basil Soda gown.
Kim Kardashian looks like a beautiful ballerina in her Toni Maticevski minidress and Christian Louboutin platforms.
Fantasia Barrino looks awesome in her black embellished T-strap dress.
I am floored that Keyshia Cole is starting to show her softer, more feminine side. Her updo chignon and jewelry is so delicate. I just wish the dress wasn't sheer in the middle, otherwise this a homerun.
